Hitherto exemption to re-imported cut & polished diamonds was granted subject to condition that variance should not exceed (+/-) 0.01 mm in height and circumference & (+/-) 1 cent in weight. However the parameter has been changed to (+/-) 0.05 mm in diameter for round shape diamonds and (+/-) 0.07 in length and breadth for diamonds of other shapes and (+/-) 1 cent in weight.
