• Hitherto Project Import exemption at concessional rate of duty was granted to goods imported for initial setting up of a project for generation of power. Henceforth, such exemption is extended to generation of compressed bio-gas (bio-CNG).

• Hitherto Project Import exemption at concessional rate of duty was granted to goods imported for initial setting up of Solar Power generation project. Henceforth, such exemption is extended to include Solar Energy production as well

• Project Import Regulation have been amended to include Metro Rail Projects as well and the Sponsoring Authority would be the Concerned state Government.
